How profiles are sourced
Seeded profiles are built from public posts, blogs, repos, talks and interviews. Every field links to the exact place the person said it, with the month; hover a source for the verbatim quote. If a field has no link, it is marked unverified. Nothing is inferred from vibes.
Setups change fast, so every page shows when its newest source is from. A page whose newest source is older than four months is marked May be out of date and gets an “ask them for an update” link.
Anyone can log in with GitHub and publish their own page; it goes live immediately. If a seeded page is about you and your GitHub login matches, claiming it is one click. Otherwise a reviewer checks the claim. Once you own a page, your coding agent can keep it current over the API (see My setup).
Edits to someone else’s page go through review. Send the link where they said it.
The money tag
A setup means something different depending on who pays for it. The tag is a category, not a score:
- Ships products
- Revenue comes from things they built, so the setup is load-bearing.
- Works at a lab
- Builds the models or agents themselves.
- Engineer
- Uses AI on a payroll job; setup is chosen by them, paid by someone else.
- Creator
- Income is courses, streams or a newsletter; take the setup as a demo, not a production line.
